The ARBEC app

ARBEC is a conference app. An attendee opens it, finds the conference they are coming to, and works through a programme of sessions, speakers, and practical information — before the event, during it, and after it.

This documentation is that journey, step by step. Every step says where you are, what you see, what you tap, what happens, and where you go next, with a real screenshot of each screen taken from the running app. The screens and button labels quoted here are the app's own, and the examples use the real ARBEC III conference: The 3rd Aquatic Resources & Blue Economy Conference (ARBEC III), 23–27 November 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The five tabs​

Inside a conference, the app is a row of five tabs. The same five, in the same order, on every phone.

The journey​

Nine steps, in the order you actually do them.

  1. Find your conference — open the app and pick ARBEC III from the list.
  2. Read the conference page — what the organizer published, before you sign in.
  3. Sign in — with the email address you registered with.
  4. Today — the countdown and your quick actions.
  5. Read the programme — sessions by day, with search and filters.
  6. Save a session — build your own schedule, and get reminded.
  7. Read the speakers — the roster, and each person's profile.
  8. Explore the conference — venue, fees, tracks, streams and updates.
  9. Your profile — your pass, your settings, and signing out.

Before you start​

  • Get the app. ARBEC is on Google Play.
  • Know your account. Use the same email address you registered with. If you do not have one yet, the sign-in screen has a Create account tab.
  • Know your conference. Search for it by title, by city, or by topic. ARBEC III is listed as The 3rd Aquatic Resources & Blue Economy Conference (ARBEC III) in Nairobi, Kenya.

What this documentation does not cover​

  • Organizer tools. Setting up a conference, publishing a programme, and managing registrations happen in the ARBEC workspace, a separate web-based surface. It has no pages here yet.
  • Anything you have to buy. Fees, tickets and payment are settled with the organizer. The app shows what they have published and hands you to their official registration route; it is not the payment system.
